NEWTOWN Documentary Explores Healing Journeys After Sandy Hook

NEWTOWN is a documentary that looks at how the community of Newtown, Connecticut came together in the aftermath of the largest mass shooting of school children in American history. Director Kim Snyder recalls why she chose to tell the story without showing or naming the school shooter and why she decided not to make an advocacy film. Snyder also discusses desensitization, relationships after death and how trauma can unite people, even those with opposing beliefs on gun control in this BYOD highlight hosted by Ondi Timoner.
